This Privacy Policy explains how Bermer Software Pvt Ltd collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Bermer Riders mobile app or rider web experience. Bermer Riders is a delivery rider application for account login, rider onboarding, vehicle attachment, shipment assignment, work-mode location sharing, and rider wallet workflows.

Information We Collect

• Account and contact information, such as your name, mobile number, optional email address, OTP login details, account identifiers, and session tokens.
• Rider, vehicle, and network information, such as driver profile details, vehicle details, delivery network attachment status, assigned shipment details, and trip/work-mode status.
• Location information, including precise GPS location, route progress, timestamps, and related sensor telemetry while work mode, shipment tracking, or background rider location tracking is active and permitted by your device settings.
• Documents and media you upload, such as profile images, driver licence or vehicle-related documents, and verification images needed for rider onboarding or support.
• Notification and device information, including push notification tokens, device identifiers generated by the app, operating system, app version, and diagnostic events used to keep the service reliable.
• Wallet and settlement information, such as wallet transactions, withdrawal requests, account holder name, bank account number, IFSC, and related settlement status where you choose to use payout features.
• Support communications and operational records when you contact us or when platform administrators help resolve account, shipment, payment, safety, or compliance issues.

How We Use Information

• To create, verify, and secure rider accounts.
• To connect riders with delivery networks, vehicles, stores, customers, shipments, and delivery workflows.
• To show live rider and shipment status to the relevant network, store, customer, and platform operations users during active delivery workflows.
• To send OTP, shipment, work-mode, safety, wallet, and service notifications.
• To process rider wallet records, settlement requests, support requests, and operational audits.
• To detect, prevent, and investigate misuse, fraud, unauthorized access, policy violations, safety incidents, or technical issues.
• To maintain, debug, secure, and improve Bermer Riders and the Bermer platform.

Location Data

Bermer Riders uses foreground and background location permissions to support delivery work mode and shipment tracking. Location may be collected while you are on duty, assigned to a shipment, or using features that require GPS. You can stop active tracking by turning off work mode where available, logging out, or revoking location permissions in your device settings. Some rider and delivery features may not work without location access.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only as needed for the service, including with:

• Delivery networks, stores, customers, and platform operations users who need shipment, rider, vehicle, or live delivery status information for an active workflow.
• Service providers that help us host infrastructure, send OTPs and notifications, provide maps, store files, process analytics, maintain security, or support wallet/settlement operations.
• Government, law enforcement, regulators, courts, or other parties when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and platform integrity.

Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Bermer Riders, maintain operational and financial records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements. You may request account or data deletion, subject to records we must retain for legal, safety, security, payment, tax, or dispute-resolution reasons.

Your Choices

• You can update certain account, rider, vehicle, and preference information in the app where those controls are available.
• You can disable push notifications or location permissions from your device settings.
• You can request access, correction, deletion, or support for your data by contacting us.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No internet or mobile service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please keep your device, OTPs, and account access safe.

Children

Bermer Riders is intended for delivery riders and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
